Menstural Cup / Period Cup

A menstrual cup, also known as a period cup, is a feminine hygiene product designed to manage menstrual flow. Unlike disposable products such as tampons and sanitary pads, a menstrual cup is reusable, typically made from medical-grade silicone, latex, or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). Its main function is to collect menstrual blood rather than absorb it.

   Usage

   To use a menstrual cup, it is first folded and then inserted into the vagina, where it unfolds and creates a seal. The exact folding technique can vary, with common folds including the C-fold, punch-down fold, and seven-fold. Removal involves pinching the base of the cup to break the seal and gently pulling it out.

   Proper hygiene is essential when using a menstrual cup. Before insertion and after removal, the cup should be rinsed with water and mild soap. At the end of the menstrual cycle, it should be sterilized by boiling in water for a few minutes or using sterilizing solutions.
